Mechanism & Biological Context

Kisspeptin activates KISS1R on hypothalamic GnRH neurons, increasing GnRH signaling and downstream luteinizing hormone and follicle-stimulating hormone. Responses depend on molecule, exposure pattern, sex, menstrual phase, and endocrine state. Sustained agonism may cause desensitization rather than continued stimulation.

Human Evidence

Controlled human studies show acute reproductive-hormone responses in men and women. Trials have also examined women and men with hypoactive sexual desire disorder, and recent research has explored intranasal delivery. These studies do not establish a consumer fertility, libido, or testosterone protocol.

This compound receives separate female and male pathways. Female content covers cycle phase, ovulation, hypothalamic amenorrhea, fertility research, and HSDD studies. What Is Not Established
